These Terms of Booking apply to all music lessons, coaching sessions, workshops, and services provided by Bente Hansen. By booking a lesson or service, you agree to the following terms.
Booking Confirmation
All lessons and sessions must be booked in advance through the website, email, or other approved booking system. A booking is considered confirmed once payment has been received or written confirmation has been provided.
Payment
Payment is required prior to the lesson unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods may include:
- Bank transfer
- Online payment platforms
- Cash (where applicable)
Lesson prices are listed in Australian Dollars and may change with notice. Any price changes will not affect already confirmed bookings.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, at least 24 hours' notice is required.
- Cancellations made with 24+ hours notice may be rescheduled without penalty.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice can incur a late cancellation fee of $20.
- Failure to attend a scheduled lesson ("no-show") will result in the full lesson fee being charged.
Exceptions may be made in cases of illness or emergency at the discretion of Bente Hansen.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late to a lesson, the session will still end at the scheduled time to avoid impacting other students. The full lesson fee will still apply.
If the teacher is late, the lesson time will be extended where possible or rescheduled.
Teacher Cancellations
If a lesson must be cancelled by the teacher due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the lesson will be rescheduled or refunded.
Online Lessons
For online lessons, students are responsible for ensuring they have:
- A stable internet connection
- A working microphone and camera
- The required software or platform installed
Technical issues on the student's side may reduce lesson time and may not be eligible for refund.
Lesson Packages
If lessons are purchased as part of a package:
- Packages must be used within 12 months.
- Missed lessons without sufficient notice may still be deducted from the package.
Packages are generally non-refundable unless required by law.
Student Responsibility
Students are expected to:
- Attend lessons prepared and on time
- Treat teachers and other students with respect
- Use lesson materials for personal learning only
Repeated disruptive behaviour may result in termination of lessons without refund.
Changes to Bookings
Bente Hansen reserves the right to adjust lesson times, pricing, or scheduling policies with reasonable notice.
